Crime scene do not cross in Chicago

The people of Chicago continue to deal with overwhelming violence. In a span of 15 hours, 14 people were shot as the week got off to another brutal start.

According to the Chicago Tribune, the shootings began on the evening of Sept. 28 and continued through the morning of Sept. 29. One shooting that has captured the attention of prominent officials in the city occurred in the Back of the Yards neighborhood.

A pregnant woman, Patricia Chew, was returning home from an outing with her family when gunfire erupted. Chew, 23, and her mother, 46, were killed, and the woman’s 11 month-old son was shot in the hip. The baby will likely survive. Two 25-year-old men were also shot, but they are also expected to make a full recovery.

Several hours later, three people were killed and two others were wounded near Fuller Park. The violent start to the week was a continuation of what occurred in Chicago during the weekend. Over 50 people were shot and four were fatally wounded from Friday until Sunday. It was the second time in as many weeks that 50 people were shot in the city.

Chicago is a city that suffers from poverty, poor education, high unemployment rates for Blacks, and gang violence. It’s a recipe for disaster and the elected officials in the city aren’t doing enough to combat crime by offering greater opportunities.

Chicago’s violence is also a national issue that must be addressed by Black Lives Matter and during the upcoming anniversary of the Million Man March. It’s important to combat racial violence, but there must also be an answer for the increase of Black on Black crime.

T.I. Responded…

A statement from Laura via her Facebook…

“T.I. is using one of my images for his birthday invitation, on his Instagram account (it’s now on his Facebook page, too). Would love to have a credit for myself as well as the costume designer, Anya Ayoung-Chee. Seriously, whoever designed this knew they didn’t have the right to use it. Removing my name from the image doesn’t magically make it right. I would have been thrilled to let it out to such a huge audience, if I were contacted in the first place.”

George Zimmerman Tweets Trayvon Martin Dead Body

Trayvon Martin George Zimmerman

Trayvon Martin George ZimmermanGeorge Zimmerman continues to exemplify callousness and inhumanity by posting a photo of the teenager’s dead body. In a previous tweets, an unrepentant Zimmerman, in a real soc

A few days ago, a hero worshiper of Zimmerman, who goes by the Twitter name @seriousslav, tweeted “@TheRealGeorgeZ Z-Man is a one man Army,” along with the photo of the innocent teen’s corpse on the night he was killed by the self-appointed neighborhood watchman.

After the loony admirer of Zimmerman tweeted him that macabre photo of the lifeless Martin, the sociopath Zimmerman promptly retweeted the photo to his 10,000 followers.

This represents the second time in two months that Zimmerman has bragged about killing Martin. If you recall back in August, Zimmerman responded to Twitter user by tweeting, “We all know how it ended for the last moron that hit me,” a clear reference to the night he shot and killed the unarmed Martin.

Since the trial, Zimmerman has been involved in multiple police stops and violent incidents. He has been stopped several times by law enforcement for a variety of reasons. And then he assaulted his ex-wife and another girlfriend in separate incidents. He was also involved in a few road rage incidents that led to him nearly being shot by a fellow driver earlier this year.

The success of the Fox hit show Empire has exploded into modeling, music, and fashion deals for the cast of the hit show. Fox’s breakout drama drew 16.2 million viewers to its season two premiere, crushed every other program on Wednesday night, and, more importantly to the network, averaged a massive 6.7 rating among adult viewers 19-49, reports Nielsen. That’s up 81 percent from the show’s series premiere last January, and down just slightly from the show’s all-time high.

Florida Man Disembowels Girlfriend During Sex

We live in a very sick world. A Florida man was charged with murder  after he admitted that he disemboweled his girlfriend because blurted out her ex-husband’s name while they were having sex.

Sunrise police responded to a 911 from Fidel Lopez at around 3:39 a.m. on Sunday and found his girlfriend Maria Nemeth’s naked body on the floor, the Sun Sentinel reported.

An arrest report said that blood and tissue were found scattered throughout the couple’s apartment, and blood was smeared on the walls. The bathroom door had been ripped off the hinges. Police also found a bottle of tequila and cut limes in the kitchen.

Neighbors told officers that loud noise could be heard coming from the home for several hours.

During initial questioning, Lopez claimed that the two were having rough sex when Nemeth went into the bathroom, vomited and then died.

Lopez later admitted that he had become a “monster” when Nemeth twice uttered her ex-husband’s name during sex. He said that he had inserted a beer bottle and a curling iron in Nemeth’s vagina and anus. Lopez suggested that she had been too intoxicate to resist, according to WFOR.

He said that he then inserted both fists, before putting his arm in her up the elbow and ripping out intestinal matter. Lopez told authorities that he had a cigarette after disemboweling Nemeth, and after he finished it she had stopped breathing.

Public Service Announcement: Don’t come on Patti Labelle Stage acting like Nicki Minaj or Miley Cyrus.

The “New Attitude” diva ripped into a fan after he started to strip onstage during her concert Friday night at the Hard Rock Casino in Vancouver.

While performing hit “Lady Marmalade,” LaBelle invited several audience members onstage to dance. However, according to a video obtained by TMZ, when one man began to unbutton his shirt, the singer immediately scolded him.

“Don’t you dare, not on my stage,” she commanded, adding, “I am 71-years-young I am not Nicki Minaj or that little, uh, Miley.”

The fan began acting coy and then struck a provocative pose, which caused LaBelle to call to have him removed.

“Get off of my goddarn stage, b—-,” the former Dancing with the Starscontestant yelled as he was escorted out. “And stay off. Put him out of the building. Put him out! How dare you!”

Later on during the show, LaBelle expressed embarrassment over her outburst, and apologized for using a “bad word.”

“I’m so sorry,” she said “I’m a Gemini and things come out of my mouth sometimes that I try to control.”

Regardless, she maintained the concertgoer was “rude.”

Viola Davis Receives Hate Tweets By General Hospital Actress

There will be a few among you that will always hate you for speaking the truth. Viola Davis made history on Sunday night when she became the first black woman to win Best Actress Emmy Award. However, one person was not a fan of Viola Davis‘ Emmys acceptance speech. Soap star Nancy Lee Grahn wrote a series of tweets on Sunday, Sept. 20, ripping Davis’ emotional, winning moment onstage during the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards.

“I wish I loved #ViolaDavis Speech,” wrote Grahn, 57, who’s best known for her portrayal as Alexis Cassadine on General Hospital. “But I thought she should have let @shondarhimes write it.”

Grahn then took to her verified Twitter account and railed against Davis. “Im a f–king actress for 40 yrs. None of us get respect or opportunity we deserve. Emmys not venue 4 racial opportunity. ALL women belittled,” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet that was captured by BuzzFeed.

The soap star even suggested that Davis hasn’t experienced discrimination in Hollywood. “I think she’s the bees knees but she’s elite of TV performers,” she tweeted to a fan. “Brilliant as she is. She has never been discriminated against.”

After receiving immediate backlash from the Internet, Grahn issued an apology. “I never mean to diminish her accomplishment. I wish I could get her roles. She is a goddess. I want equality 4 ALL women, not just actors,” she wrote. “I apologize 2 anyone who I offended. I’m women advocate since I became one. After reading responses, I hear u and my tweet was badly phrased.”

She followed up with a lengthier apology. “I apologize for my earlier tweets and now realize I need to check my own privilege,” Grahn wrote. “My intention was not to take this historic and important moment from Viola Davis or other women of color but I realize that my intention doesn’t matter here because that is what I ended up doing. I learned a lot tonight and I admit that there are still some things I don’t understand but I am trying to and will let this be a learning experience for me.”

Davis, 50, reduced the audience to tears after becoming the first black woman ever to win the Emmy for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series. “The only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is simply opportunity. You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there,” the How to Get Away With Murder actress said as she received a standing ovation. “So here’s to all the writers, the awesome people — people who have redefined what it means to be beautiful, to be sexy, to be a leading woman, to be black.”
