Burglar Alarm Goes Off Multiple Times at Church’s Chicken Due To Rats


In a shocking and disgusting news report, rats have been reported at a local Church’s Chicken, which is just unbelievable . The rats set the alarm system off 17 times as they enjoyed the juicy fired chicken and mash potatoes.

Channel 2 Action News reported that, in a span of just 30 days, DeKalb County police officers responded to 17 alarm calls at the Church’s at Candler Road and Glenwood Avenue. The 17th time around, an enterprising officer looked through the drive-thru window and spotted rats running around inside.

The officer used his cellphone to record the furry invaders.Maj. K.D. Johnson said his officer shot the cellphone video after responding to the 17th alarm call in 30 days.  He said in that same time period, there were no break-ins or burglaries.

Channel 2 Action News shot video of a handwritten closed sign Friday and spotted materials on the counter.

The health department said the business was closed for two days while repairs were made.

A sign in the drive through window showed a B rating.

The health department stated the rats likely gained access through a crawl space at the rear of the building and came in the kitchen through holes in the ceiling and walls.
