She’s Back…Missy Elliott Returns with “WTF” (Where They From)Featuring Pharrell

missySHE’S BACK...It’s been almost a decade since Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott, dropped an album. She broke that dry spell Thursday, dropping the “WTF (Where They From)” featuring Pharrell Williams, a high-energy dance track that boasts an almost hard rock edge at times. In Missy Elliott Style, it wa loud colorful, engaging, and full of dance moves to rock any generation.

It shows Elliott switching through a series of futuristic outfits, one where’s she’s glowing like a living disco ball.

When she stepped out onstage during the Super Bowl halftime show earlier this year, the Internet erupted in applause. The next morning, her performance went viral. Her performance inspired many young people asking who is Missy Elliott, and publications celebrating her for stealing the show from Katy Perry. The person most surprised by the huge outpouring of love was Elliott herself.

New Music Adele Hello


Singer Adele is back! She is topping the charts and kicking Taylor Swift record with over 100 million views for her new music video in less than 7 days.  In her first proper interview in three years, the singer explained to i-D magazine that the heartbreak themes of her previous record won’t dominate “25.”

“I’m not heartbroken, but I probably won’t be able to better the one I did, so what’s the point?” she said. “Also, how I felt when I wrote ’21,’ it ain’t worth feeling like that again. … I was very sad and very lonely. Regardless of being a mom or a girlfriend, I didn’t want to feel like that again.”

New Music Tuesday highlights new music from multicultural artists throughout the nation. This week we feature Pressure and Janet Jackson.

Pressure’s official music video for his single “Nuh Worry Yourself” premiered on Tempo’s Cross Caribbean Countdown. The video was shot on the island of St. Thomas, USVI, during this year’s carnival festivities and includes special guest appearances by Pressure’s friend Actor Malik Yoba and RHOA and former radio personality Claudia Jordan. Pressure is currently on first leg of his European tour and is finishing up his Lovers Rock album due out the top of 2016.
