Can Donald Trump Comments Disqualify Him From Presidency?

White House press secretary Josh Earnest has announced that GOP front runner Donald Trump’s call to ban all Muslim immigrants from entering the United States ‘disqualifies him from serving as president’ and has called on Republicans to reject him immediately.

Earnest told the press:

“Now, I know that each of the Republican candidates has already taken an oath pledging to support Donald Trump for president of the United States if he wins the nomination. But the fact is, the first thing a president does when he or she takes the oath of office is to swear an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. And the fact is, what Donald Trump said yesterday disqualifies him from serving as president.”

“What he said is disqualifying,” Earnest added. “And any Republican who’s too fearful of the Republican base to admit it has no business serving as president either.”

If you missed it, Trump released a statement on Monday calling for “a total and complete shutdown” of Muslims immigrating to the U.S. until “our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”

While what Donald Trump said should REALLY disqualify him from the White House, unfortunately there’s nothing in the Constitution that says a presidential candidate can’t be an jerk.

Is this Accurate?

Hungarian photojournalist Petra Laszlo has been fired after she was caught-on-camera Monday kicking multiple people — including children — in a video that went viral.

This right wing photojournalist, even shocked her colleagues at N1TV.

Laszlo, who worked for N1TV, was “terminated” effective immediately after she “behaved unacceptably” out in the field while covering a crossing point for immigrants, according to N1TV editor Szabolcs Kisberk. (N1TV is ran by the Jobbik party, which is right-wing and against immigration.)

In the clip, a group of immigrants were moving through a police-monitored checkpoint for immigrants, who are seeking asylum by moving from Serbia to the Hungarian village of Roszke, with an eventual destination of Budapest.

Laszlo could be seen intentionally kicking multiple people as they rushed through the chaotic scene.

Jimmy Carter Say Jesus Would Approve Gay Marriage

Madd News powered by Caribbean Media Network

Former President and Nobel Peace recipient goes o record in support of gay marriage, he thinks Jesus Christ would be OK with gay marriage.

The Georgia native, who still teaches Sunday school classes monthly in south Georgia, made the revelation during an interview with The Huffington Post Tuesday to promote his latest book, “A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety.”

From the Huffington Post:

HuffPost Live’s Marc Lamont Hill asked Carter on Tuesday whether he believes Jesus would approve of gay marriage, and Carter said he does.

“I believe Jesus would. I don’t have any verse in scripture. … I believe Jesus would approve gay marriage, but that’s just my own personal belief. I think Jesus would encourage any love affair if it was honest and sincere and was not damaging to anyone else, and I don’t see that gay marriage damages anyone else,” he said.

Carter had previously said he believes it’s “very fine for gay people to be married in civil ceremonies” but that he drew a line by requiring that churches must marry people.

Marco Rubio Big Fan of Nicki Minaj

Latina Reports: Sen. Marco Rubio revealed in an interview with MSNBC what type of music he gets down to.

“The ones that I know are from the ’90s, they’re not—they would all be censored anyways,” Rubio said.

Rubio told MSNBC he’s a big fan of Nicki Minaj and admires her because of her ability to both rap and sing.

“There are a couple modern artists that I really like. I like Nicki Minaj,” Rubio said. “I think she’s very talented.”

Rubio has also admitted his love for rap and hip-hop artists such as Eminem, Tupac and Pitbull. One of his favorite songs is “Straight Outta Compton” from N.W.A.

“Pitbull has become a friend and someone from Miami that we’re very proud of,” Rubio said.

When asked if Pitbull would be at Rubio’s campaign announcement on Monday, Rubio said the rapper couldn’t because of a previously scheduled trip to China.

“He’s Mr. Worldwide,” Rubio said.

Can you imagine Rubio getting down to Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”?

234 Girls Kidnapped from School in Nigeria for More Than 2 weeks

schoolgirls

It is a parent’s worst nightmare: Your child goes to school, never to return.

This is a heart breaking and terrifying story about the young school girls in Nigeria. It has been two weeks and counting since their kidnapping.  Nigerians are living that horrific reality after 230 schoolgirls were abducted, allegedly by Boko Haram, under the cover of darkness on April 16. Of the hundreds of girls herded into vehicles, only 43 have escaped.

The frightened schoolgirls were herded onto waiting buses and motor scooters by the gunmen who assured them,

“Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to you.

The militants of the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram arrived at the boarding school in the dead of night. They exchanged gunfire with armed security guards outside the school before storming the school and rounding up the girls.

18-year-old Deborah Sanya was one of the 43 lucky ones who managed to escape from the militants’ base camp.

She said she and the other girls believed they were in safe hands, until the men started shooting guns and shouting “Allahu Akbar” (“God is great” in Islam). That was when she knew the men had lied.

According to an article in the New Yorker magazine, the families of the 234 missing girls are wallowing in the midst of uncertainty. They complain that the government is refusing to update them on the efforts to find the girls.

Unidentified mothers call for the president to help, during a demonstration with others who have daughters among the kidnapped school girls of government secondary school Chibok, Tuesday April 29, 2014, in Abuja, Nigeria. Two weeks after Islamic extremists stormed a remote boarding school in northeast Nigeria, more than 200 girls and young women remain missing despite a ?hot pursuit? by security forces and desperate parents heading into a dangerous forest in search of their daughters. Some dozens have managed to escape their captors, jumping from the back of an open truck or escaping into the bush from a forest hideout, although the exact number of escapees is unclear. And as their parents wait and hope, the government is grappling with an Islamist terror group that has gotten more brazen.

CNN Reports:

In November, the militant group abducted dozens of Christian women, most of whom were later rescued by the military deep in a forest in Maiduguri. At the time of their rescue, some were pregnant or had children, and others had been forcibly converted to Islam and married off to their kidnappers.

Rights groups have said Boko Haram has kidnapped girls as young as 12.

The group especially opposes the education of women. Under its version of Sharia law, women should be at home raising children and looking after their husbands, not at school learning to read and write.

It has repeatedly targeted places of learning in deadly attacks that have highlighted its fundamental philosophy against education.

The spate of kidnappings began in May 2013 when Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau announced in a video that this was part of its latest bloody campaign. The kidnappings, he said, were retaliation for Nigerian security forces nabbing the wives and children of group members.

Those kidnapped, he said, would begin a new life as a “servant”.

Dinesh D’Souza indicted for violating election law

Dinesh Souza Madd News

Dinesh Souza Madd News

The conservative filmmaker behind a hit anti-Obama documentary was indicted Thursday night on charges he violated federal campaign laws, in what a close colleague is calling a “selective prosecution.”

Dinesh D’Souza, whose “2016: Obama’s America” is the second-highest grossing political documentary of all time, will appear in U.S. District Court in New York Friday.

The indictment states the 52-year-old best-selling author and activist will be charged with one count of illegally donating to a Senate campaign and one count of causing false statements to be made to authorities in connection with the contributions

The indictment, filed in U.S. District Court in New York, accuses D’Souza of “willfully and knowingly” surpassing the $5,000 limit for individual campaign donations by directing others to donate to the campaign of Wendy Long, who unsuccessfully challenged New York senator Kirsten Gillibrand in 2012. According to the document, D’Souza and his then-wife, Dixie, each contributed $5,000 to Long’s campaign, and he reimbursed others for $20,000 he had encouraged them to donate.

The indictment is just the latest in a tangle of personal and professional difficulties that swarmed around D’Souza at what was arguably the height of his success: the popularity of his 2012 anti-Obama documentary 2016: Obama’s America. The film, which was released in the summer of 2012 and became a slow-burn hit with conservatives in the run-up to the presidential election, earned over $33 million at the box office and was the highest-grossing documentary since 1982. But just a couple of months into the film’s promotion, D’Souza was out of a job: he resigned his lucrative position as president of the King’s College, a small evangelical Christian school in Manhattan, over repost hat he was engaged to a 29-year-old woman while still being married to his wife of 20 years.

Feds Investigate Christie on Sandy Relief Funds

Christie_Traffic_Jams-03c4d-4069

It seems that the NJ bridge traffic mess, is just one other problem that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is facing this week. The New Jersey Governor  is facing a federal investigation into whether the governor used Hurricane Sandy relief money to produce tourism ads starring himself and his family, Rep. Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) told CNN Sunday. The New Jersey lawmaker said the inspector general for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development conducted a preliminary investigation, and concluded that a full investigation is warranted.

The Huffington post reports: This  new investigation comes as the New Jersey governor is facing a separate federal probe into revelations that his top aides engineered the temporary shutdown of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge as political retribution.

Pallone wrote a letter to the inspector general of the Department of Housing and Urban Development in August, asking why a firm with a more expensive pitch won the project to make a New Jersey tourism campaign with Hurricane Sandy relief funds. The winning firm’s bid was $4.7 million, while a comparable firm cost $2.5 million. The more expensive idea included the Christies, while the cheaper pitch did not.

In a slickly produced ad released in May, Christie appeared towards the end and proclaimed that New Jersey was “stronger than the storm.”

The ad came as Christie was running for reelection as a Republican in an overwhelmingly Democratic state. However, due to his personal popularity (thanks in no small part to his handling of the Sandy recovery), Christie trounced Democrat Barbara Buono and led in the polls throughout the campaign.
