The 2014 Oscar awards has been one of the most watched and tweeted events in several years. Host Ellen DeGeneres created unique moments, including the above picture which was re-tweeted over 2 million times, which crashed twitter. One of Ellen’s funniest line throughout the night was about Jennifer Lawrence who fell again , this time on the red carpet.  The Best Dress  couple award goes to Will Smith and Jada Picket Smith.

The big wins was for Gravity which won 7 gold men this year. The Original Song  category which nominated  “Happy” by Pharell Williams, was won by “Let It Go” Frozen.  This year’s awards also celebrated diversity , with two Oscar wins for “12 years a Slave”, for Best Film and Best Supporting actress.
