Terrence Howard says society is more willing to accept effeminate men over real men.  The Empire star opened up about the highs and lows of his life and career.while also revealing how one violent incident involving his father forever changed him.

When Howard was 2-years-old, his father stabbed a man in front of him at a department store in Cleveland, OH, as the family waited in line to see Santa Claus.

Taraji P Henson Empire Actress Nominated for Emmy

tphenson Taraji P Henson has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Awards, for Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Taraji P. Henson can currently be seen as the hugely popular character Cookie Lyon on the hit Fox series Empire, a role which netted her the 2015 Critic’s Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a drama series.

Henson previously played “Yvette” in Bad Boy, “Shug” in Hustle and Flow, and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role of “Queenie” in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. She portrayed “Tiffany Rubin” in the true life inspired Lifetime movie Taken From Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story. Henson also played the role of alcoholic singer “April” in Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself and has made regular appearances on Eli Stone, The Cleveland Show, Boston Legal and CSI. Anthony Anderson is nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, for his role ABC’s black-ish. Anthony Anderson is a writer, on the sitcom, and also starred in his own sitcom, All About the Andersons, as well as the Fox sitcom The Bernie Mac Show during the fifth and final season of the show.

Queen Latifiah and Don Cheadle were also nominated this morning.
