Marco Rubio Big Fan of Nicki Minaj

Latina Reports: Sen. Marco Rubio revealed in an interview with MSNBC what type of music he gets down to.

“The ones that I know are from the ’90s, they’re not—they would all be censored anyways,” Rubio said.

Rubio told MSNBC he’s a big fan of Nicki Minaj and admires her because of her ability to both rap and sing.

“There are a couple modern artists that I really like. I like Nicki Minaj,” Rubio said. “I think she’s very talented.”

Rubio has also admitted his love for rap and hip-hop artists such as Eminem, Tupac and Pitbull. One of his favorite songs is “Straight Outta Compton” from N.W.A.

“Pitbull has become a friend and someone from Miami that we’re very proud of,” Rubio said.

When asked if Pitbull would be at Rubio’s campaign announcement on Monday, Rubio said the rapper couldn’t because of a previously scheduled trip to China.

“He’s Mr. Worldwide,” Rubio said.

Can you imagine Rubio getting down to Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”?

Ryan Leslie Creates New Music Platform

In the 1990s, an artist could release a single from an album, then the full-length album, then a remix album, then a live version of the album, and expect all of them to sell in record stores. Then the bottom fell out of the record business with the advent of file sharing, downloading and streaming. Now anyone brave enough to get involved in the music industry today must find creative and  innovative ways to stay afloat.

Enter singer-songwriter Ryan Leslie.

With the birth of his new company, Disruptive Multimedia, the “Diamond Girl” singer has found a new way to stay ahead of the game. Designed to allow artists to interact with fans in a personal manner, the platform allows the artist to digitally distribute their music to fans and allows for direct contact via email or even phone. According to Leslie, artists who do exceptionally well on the site can even earn a record deal.

“I’m giving all my top-performing artists the opportunity to earn a $100,000 record deal.I use the data from Disruptive Multimedia to drive my decisions, and your great performance will have earned my confidence in your ability to invest that money wisely,” he says.

Any artists looking to possibly join Disruptive Multimedia should know that it’s not a complete free for all and as easy as logging on and signing up. Leslie has to approve you to join. He has made his phone number available for artists to contact him to gain approval onto the site. Though a bit of a hoop to jump through, Leslie says it’s all worth it in the end.

“The biggest difference is that you get paid right away. When you sell on iTunes, when do you get paid? If you’re on TuneCore, maybe once every 30 days. If you’re going through a record company, you get a statement every 90 days, and then you get paid 90 days after that. If I sell 1,000 CDs on a Monday, I’m up $10,000 in my bank account on a Wednesday. And I know every single one of those thousand people,” says Leslie.

Disruptive Multimedia doesn’t officially launch until July 4, but interested parties can check out the beta version of the site at

Keyshia Cole has IRS Problems

This is not a good  look for Keyshia Cole!

After her headlining tour in 2009 with the likes of TLCLil Kim and The-Dream, the singer failed to pay her taxes on that profitable year and now the federal government is demanding she pay it ASAP!

According to sources ther was a lien  last November, the government is claiming Keyshia owes a pretty little sum to the tune of $162,158.93 to the IRS!

We’re sure that’s probably not too much for the Heaven Sent singer, but it does look like the songstress shouldn’t have cheated the IRS, those people are ruthless!

We hope you get this all settled soon!

Miami Police may have lied about Justin Bieber Arrest

Was the Miami police trying to capitalize off of Justin Bieber’s fame?  Is the Miami police still a shady law enforcement agency? It is not surprising that the Miami Police department is accused of fudging  the police report.  This leaves gigantic hole in the case against Justin Bieber. It seems that  the singer had next to NO alcohol in his system yet cops at the scene said he reeked of alcohol.

TMZ reports: We have now confirmed Justin’s actual blood alcohol level … it was .014 — next to nothing.  Legal intoxication is .08.  Law enforcement sources told TMZ Thursday Bieber had a .04 …  but we’ve now confirmed that is NOT true.  He had a .014 — an enormous difference.

Someone Justin’s size would probably have higher than a .014 with a single beer.  So the question … how could cops say they were overpowered by the smell of alcohol?

According to the police report … the arresting officer was leaning into the car, talking to Justin just after the stop and the cop says, “I immediately smelled an odor of alcohol eminating [sic] from the driver’s breath.”

The police report goes on … Justin was then arrested and taken to a holding facility, where another officer said he smelled “… the odor of an alchol bev on his breath.”

Justin insisted at the scene he was NOT drunk.  Cops say he failed his field sobriety test.

Sources connected to the case tell us … this could well come down to a credibility case, with Justin’s people accusing cops of lying.  Fact is … the Miami Beach PD has had credibility issues in the past.  One law enforcement source confided in us … “That police force has had a zillion problems.”
